All of our terms and prices are subject to change at any time without notice.

  • Distam distributes its products only to duly established businesses.
  • Distam has the right to refrain or limit access to its products.
  • A customer must maintain minimum annual purchases of $15,000 to maintain a competitive price list.
  • An initial order may be required to properly qualify a potential customer.
  • Distam has the right to close an account that remained inactive for a period of 6 months or more.

FREIGHT POLICY:

Every Grandwest customer has been defined a Primary warehouse based on location to provide optimal shipping and service to your business. Orders of $440.00 or more (taxes not included) will be shipped FREIGHT PREPAID via courier with the exception of some remote destinations and those deemed as "Beyond Points" by freight carriers from your primary warehouse. Orders (including all backorder items) under the minimum amount will be prepaid and charged a flat rate based on the province of destination as outlined below. Orders will be consolidated up to the 4:00 pm (local time) shipping cut-off - anything submitted after that time gets shipped with next day’s order. This includes all items in the catalog with the exception of some bulky product such as (but not limited to), liquid transfer tanks, tool boxes, grill guards/bumpers, fiberglass box covers, box liners, and long running board kits requiring truck freight or special handling. A freight allowance of 5% (before tax) of invoice total will be given on those prepaid orders.

Should product only be available in the alternate warehouse, we will transfer the product to your Primary warehouse and ship to you with your regular orders (allowing 10-12 days for that process).

If you require faster delivery, we can ship your order directly from the alternate warehouse for an extra $30 Quick Drop delivery fee on courier items. (Beyond points & truck freight will be charged the quoted amount by the shipping company.) This freight is in addition to any charges that may be on shipped orders from the default warehouse that day. The Quick Drop fee is not applicable to the Prepaid policy and is charged on all orders.

TERMS:

Terms are net 30 days. Applicant agrees to pay a service fee of 2% per month or 24% annually on balances exceeding 60 days. No guarantee of shipment on accounts that are 60 days in arrears. All transactions are in Canadian dollars (CAD).

INVOICING

Invoices are available on our website at www.distam.com as of 6pm the day of the order. A copy of the invoice is sent daily to the email address provided on the credit application.

NON-PAYMENT

  • Distam reserves the right to refuse the shipment of any order when the terms of payment are not respected and this, until the amount due is paid in full or according to an agreement made with Distam.
  • An "insufficient funds" (N.S.F.) or post-dated cheque is subject to an administrative fee of $50.
  • Any unpaid amount bears interest at a rate of two percent (2%) per month or twenty-four percent (24%) per year.
  • Any debt settlement made via an authorized return of goods automatically entails a 25% trade-in fee.

WARRANTY:

Grandwest distributed products are fully guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials as specified by the manufacturer, typically for a period of one year. However, some exceptions apply with longer warranty periods available on certain products. Shorter periods may also apply to some products, such as (but not limited to) Electronics/Wiring and certain bulbs & lighting.

Defective products will be replaced free of charge, limited to the defective part on items with multiple parts. Grandwest is not responsible for any paint, labor costs, or freight to and from our warehouse. Authorization (R.M.A. #) must be granted by Grandwest prior to returning any products. An adequate description of the problem or defect must be stated on the request for return. The terms "defective and junk" are insufficient reasons and will not be accepted as valid.

RETURN GOODS:

Most products purchased from Grandwest may be returned without a restocking charge for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase. However, some seasonal and electronic items or larger fleet orders where a special purchase is required may not be eligible for return and/or may be subject to a restocking charge. Product older than 6 months is not eligible for return. Customer’s return allowance is 10% of all purchases within the last 12 months - calculated on a 12-month rolling basis. Any returns exceeding that amount will incur a 25% restocking fee.

An R.M.A. # (Return Merchandise Authorization Number) must be granted before returning any merchandise.

To be eligible for a return, the product must:

  • Be a current stocking item
  • Be in new condition, in its original packaging, and can be sold as new
  • Have been purchased from Grandwest within the last 6 months
  • Not be installed
  • Include an R.M.A. # with the shipment

Note:

  • All wheels must be test fitted before mounting tires. No returns will be accepted for wheels that have been mounted with tires.
  • It is strongly advised to carefully inspect each item upon receipt of an order.
  • No returns on electronic devices once opened.
  • All paintable products must be pre-fit before painting and installation.
  • No reimbursement for labor or other costs related to the installation.
  • Grandwest reserves the right to refuse any return.

Any product not meeting these criteria will be refused and returned to the customer freight collect. All returns are applied to account for credit only. A restocking charge may be levied on return of goods. The customer is responsible for freight costs to and from our warehouse.

SPECIAL ORDERS:

Special orders cannot be cancelled once ordered, and are not returnable. A signed special order confirmation sheet may be required prior to placing the order.

CLAIMS:

(A) Claims for merchandise lost or damaged in transit must be made directly to the carrier.

(B) Claims for shortages on a shipment must be filed with Grandwest Enterprises Inc. within 5 days after receipt of shipment.
